Pastie could not be a simpler concept. It’s especially helpful for programmers relaying large pieces of code to a support forum, chat window or even over the phone with out losing, or infecting, the code with unwanted characters.
How it works is simple. You browse to Pastie.caboo.se and paste your snippet of code or text into it and hit Paste. A screen gets displayed with your code neatly arranged and colored depending on the predefined code type you selected. Every Pastie gets it’s own unique URL for easy reference. Heres an example of code I pasted.
Pastie was made by a Rails wiz as far as i can see and offers way more code formats, but for a price. Pastie is cool. But sure there are more just like it out there.
