Web Trends Map 2008

These kind of illustrations makes me weak at the knees. A piece like this takes you at least a minute or two to fully grasp. What is it? It’s a Web Trends Map. Based on the Tokyo-area train map, it is a meticulous display of 300 of the worlds most popular websites. I’m gonna try swoop some cash out of the budget this year and get the A0 copy for our office. Now that would be neat.

  1. They are killer indeed. It’s the whole semantic, interconnectivity and vector layouts that do it for me. So ye, gonna bend some arms at work and get one for the office.

  2. Fox this is a brilliant resource. Thanks! Something I’m def going to use in my training and strategy sessions. Digital Bureau in Loop St (Cape Town) will do the first print at R30, and subsequent prints at R9 each – all ex vat. If anyone wants a print let me know, I’m going to do 2 or 3 this afternoon…
