Turning inwards and creating wealth

What I have now works for me here on Foxinni.com. But it has to evolve into what I have become over the past two years. Now that I have the skills to do what I want… I’m intending on doing exactly that.

No More!

No more over zealous blogging causing a once a zillion years blog post, no more boring profile, no more third party services running the show… no more “Uh, I wanted to share but it’s over there and not here” and no more life streaming.

Say YES to sharing

My blogging (or sharing) has gone third party, traction is withering and reactions are limited. This has caused me to basically stop using my site. Resulting in tears in eyes. But there is so much I have to share…

My weekly activities typically consist of:

  • Wordpress Development
  • Doing work at the office – {radiiate.com}
  • Getting sent links
  • Saving them on my Delicious
  • Twittering
  • More web development
  • Facebooking (a little)
  • Working on my active projects
  • Playing games
  • Watching some series in bed
  • and much much more, of course.

So what’s wrong?

I detest that I’ve become part of the norm that has blindly stayed un-evolved on the Internet. Sure Facebook is useful, but other that a complete wash of time and creating content for someone I’ve never met’s website… (same goes for Twitter btw), I’ve complete neglected my central hub, that which sets me apart. I want the conversation to be created on my terms, on my domain and then have feedback generated in concise and practical manners.

It boils down to…

Blogging faster, sharing thoughts quicker, not holding back, generating traffic, creating presence, building a personal hub before all others & having something of value… without it NOT being yours.

What to expect

I’ve never been an impulsive person. But that will have to change. Moving slowly on the web can be painful. Expect massive mushup focusing on my own domain & with what is closest to me personally and professionally. A quicker turnover with smaller blogs, aggregation of portfolio of high caliber. The design is in the working along with some big news.

Before this post gets to long winded… i’ll end it. Any thoughts?

Amsterdam, totsiens

Amsterdam, totsiens
I loved Amsterdam. I can do nothing but rave about how great it is. I most likely should be complaining about how expensive or how cold the weather was, but all I want to do is revisit this wonderful city with it’s whirling bikes and cobbled alley ways. One thing I really loved about Amsterdam was [...] read more

Torchlight, Diablo 3 killer?

Torchlight, Diablo 3 killer?
I’m making a ridiculous statement right out the gates and oddly so because Diablo 3 has not even been released yet. Why say it’s a killer? That’s because Torchlight is exactly what you’d expect the next Diablo to be like. From the start Torchlight submerges you in a neat new world, instantly throwing you into the [...] read more

Rome, Florence, Rome

Rome, Florence, Rome
Booked in the spur of the moment, we were on our way to a four nights stay in Italy. Two nights in Rome and two nights in Florence separated by a four hour train journey. Italy is an incredibly beautiful part of the world with amazing culture, breathtaking monuments and ridiculous traffic. For the backpacking traveler, [...] read more

A night in Betties Bay

A night in Betties Bay
Nils and Christi, my “doctor friends”, invited me along for a night with the old gang for a braai, two nights before I had to leave for Ireland. The next morning we went for a dive to take out crayfish. Sadly I don’t have any photos of myself in the Neoprene cladding. Please invite me again, [...] read more

The Killers, Cape Town, 2009
As promised, I will be sharing some of the love The Killers showed the attendees of yesterdays concert. Any chance we as Cape Townians get to go to a big concert, we leap at the opportunity. This was the case with The Killers live in concert, churning out about 20 000, individuals ready for big sound [...] read more

An emotional moment comes as I finally polish up this LONG overdue theme for my site. Many things can attribute to this theme taking well over 6 month to complete. Among those are the love/hate relationship I have with design, the lack of focus and the need to get everything perfect. My site is not perfect. [...] read more

District 9 out of 9

District 9 out of 9
This past week I went to go see District 9 again. The make of any good movie is one that you can watch twice in quick succession only to appreciate it even more. The subtle South African flavor coupled with a unique story, told in an uncanny documentary style fashion made for an enjoyable second [...] read more
