The WordPress Dashboard has been looking pretty stale these past weeks. Until today. Matt published the WordPress 2.5 Sneak Peak showing off the “Bun in the Oven”. Looks good! Any idea how much longer til the release?
@StevenMcD: They are confident to say TODAY… but they want to make it as stable as they can get it and want to get feedback from the community fisrt. Here is the download for the Release Candidate, if you wanted to check it out so long. Also join the mailing list for an insiders perspective on testing. They have no set a date yet.
I’ve been running WordPress 2.5 at home for the last few days. I haven’t delved much into the code / new tags etc. (since there is no documentation) but the new admin is awesome.
The media manager as well as the new dashboard are huge UI enhancements. Gona make blogging fun again.
Oh, one last thing.. expect someone claiming to be the first SA blogger running 2.5… SOON!
