My name is Malan, and I’m a full time Web Developer at WooThemes. Most of my time goes into PHP, WordPress,  and jQuery development.

I live in Cape Town, recently known for becoming a reputable hub in the South African IT and Web Entrepreneurial sector. To boot, Cape Town is a beautiful city with dynamic people and breathtaking natural assets.

A short distance from the City Bowl lies my second home, the WooThemes headquarters. WooThemes become a global competitor in the WordPress theme market, with a team made up of several members, spread out across the globe.

I’ve become somewhat of  self taught designer, having produced three album covers and several flyers, this part of my life has been rewarding and vicious at separate occasions. Design will always be objective.

Since I was little I’ve been a chronic gamer. Be it for the adventure or escapizm, games has given me endless inspiration and entertainment, and I don’t plan on giving it up any time soon.

Music is also a huge passion of mine. I’ve studied to become a qualified sound engineer, although my skills lacking the proper practice and patience that comes with a full time production standard.
